Epic Games, a subsidiary of Nintendo, announced Wednesday that it will activate all of its digital-only games in the first week of January.
The company said in a statement that it “took a strategic decision to activate all new titles in a timely manner.”
It said that its games will remain available in their current state for a period of two weeks while the company assesses their demand and its business plans.
A number of other Nintendo-published titles, including Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, will also be available for a limited time starting on January 3.
Epic Games has been in the spotlight for its efforts to bring more digital games to the Nintendo eShop in recent years.
The game maker has also been accused of slowing down and sometimes slowing down its games’ download speeds.
In October, Epic Games said that it was working on an update for its game downloader that would offer more flexibility for customers.
In December, Epic announced that it would shut down its mobile and web game servers in the U.S. in response to increasing customer complaints about the company’s policies regarding copyright infringement.
In a statement, Epic said it was “proud of the contributions our team has made over the years and we look forward to continuing to create great content and products for Nintendo fans worldwide.”
