‘The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth’ trailer sparks ‘The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies’ debate

The Lord of The Rings: The Battle for Mid-Earth (TMBTG) trailer for the game (above) is being called “the most anticipated trailer of the year” and is being given a free reign to go viral on social media.

The trailer was created by Warner Bros. Motion Pictures, with the help of the Motion Picture Association of America.

The game, which is set during the Lord of, the Rings trilogy, stars the likes of Richard Armitage, Gwendoline Christie, James Cromwell, Tom Hardy, Liam Cunningham, Gwennifer Hutchins, and Ian McKellen.

The story centers on the titular hero, Frodo Baggins, who is searching for the lost Ring of Power.

The trailers features a host of special guests including The Beatles, Lord of War and a special performance by the Lord himself, Sauron.

The movie also stars John Boyega, Laura Dern, Richard Arden, James McAvoy, Liam Hemsworth, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaac, and Ben Mendelsohn.

Warner Bros./Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released the trailer to promote the game.

It has already been shared over 2.5 million times.

“TMBTFG is a celebration of Tolkien’s imagination and the power of storytelling to inspire fans of all ages,” Warner Bros.’s press release said.

“From the epic battles of Middle-earth to the epic struggle to save the world, fans can’t get enough of Tolkien.

Celebrate the Lord with us.”

The game was also recently released in Canada.

The full trailer will be available at midnight ET.

“The Lord is coming,” says Gandalf.

“We will see him in the next film, ‘The Two Towers,'” declares Frodo.

“I can’t wait to see him come through here.”

The Lord is also featured in the upcoming “The Hobbit,” which hits theaters March 15.
