Why Steelers should sign Josh Gordon
Josh Gordon, the reigning MVP, has had a difficult season for the Steelers.
After missing the final two weeks of the season with a hamstring injury, he went on a streak of six straight games with at least 10 points.
Gordon has now been benched for the last three games, and while he hasn’t been spectacular, he’s been pretty good.
This is why the Steelers should trade up to draft him in the first round, and that’s where he fits in Pittsburgh.
They have one of the best offensive lines in the league, and Gordon has been good at blocking and making plays downfield.
He could help them on the other side of the ball, too, because he can run with receivers.
But while Gordon can be a dynamic runner and receiver, he doesn’t have the quickness to be a premier return man.
The Steelers need to add some speed and toughness in the return game, and if Gordon can’t make a difference, he could see a return to the practice squad.
Pittsburgh needs to add speed and athleticism in the backfield.
