What happens when you make a Marvel game, and you get a movie deal?
We already had a Marvel movie, but now we’ve got a new one!
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
2 is finally coming to the big screen in 2019, but it seems like the movie has had a few more issues than originally planned.
According to an Instagram post from the Guardians’ Twitter account, the film’s producers have decided to cancel their film adaptation of The Mighty Thor.
“We just want to thank you for your support,” the post reads.
“We are going to cancel our Marvel movie and we are going ahead with the other Guardians movies.
The Mighty, Mighty Thor, Thor and The Mighty will now be the Guardians of The Galaxy.”
As we previously reported, the Guardians were in talks with Marvel to produce a Guardians of Earth movie, and now it appears that the studio may be unable to come to terms with the filmmakers on a deal.
The team behind the film had reportedly been negotiating with Warner Bros. for over a year, and had finally agreed to the deal when they got hit with delays with the production of Thor: Ragnarok, which was also delayed in production.
